While many of us refuse sit single AGAIN this year, we turn to our girls for some much needed emotional support. The same old plans involving baking pink desserts, snacking on a charcuterie board and binge watching romcoms seem to be on repeat this year. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a great way to spend an evening (any night really), but I’m tired of spending every year wallowing in a fictional love story while stuffing my face with delicious snacks. That’s literally called a Thursday night.

It seems about time we up our game a little this year and learn to be thankful for another year of being single(or at least we try).

You Really Wanna Meet a Cute Guy? Send Him a Shot

No, I do not mean a water shot. Ladies, if you want that cute guy across the bar to come over and talk to you, you’re gonna need to send a real shot. While some guys may appreciate the humor, most won’t. If it works for you, great – but most will likely find that more annoying than cute.

Yes, I know drinks aren’t cheap in this economy but think of it as an investment; an amazing night, a potential first date, or a funny story for you and your girls to cherish over the years.

Stuck Between The Need to Throw a Raging Fit and Wanting to Look Hot?

While most rage rooms get booked out a month in advance and leave you back to eating cookie dough in front of your tv, I have a solution.

Go to a boxing class.

Yes, really.

A boxing class offers 45-50 minutes of pure, intense rage channeled into a punching bag—all while getting fit and feeling like the hottest person in the room. Plus, you leave not only with stress relief but also with an empowering sense of accomplishment. Another investment, into your mental and physical health.

Don’t have a decent boxing class near you? Try a HIIT workout class.

As someone who’s gone to boxing and HIIT classes regularly for just nearly a year, I can personally vouch for its effectiveness. It got me through rough times and helped me reach toward my fitness goals.

So book a class with your girls and sweat it out together.

Vamp Up Your Stay At Home Galentines

If you and the girls really feel like staying in, here are a few ways to spruce up the celebrations at home.

Dress up with themes –

  • Have a formal party. Dress up in fancy dresses, have champagne, wine, cocktails(or mocktails) and if you really want to, bring in the charcuterie board; maybe some caviar too to bump it up a notch. (pun intended)
  • Dress up in girl boss outfits and make presentations on each member of the friend group
  • Dress like your ex. Bonus points for whoever does the worst impression of him.

Whatever you choose, make it yours, get creative and have fun with it!

Embrace Some Puppy Love

Divert your pent up love and affection towards someone who will actually appreciate it. Puppy yoga is a great way to release some stress through exercise and through the playful company of the most adorable creatures on earth.

Most cities in the world have at least one puppy yoga studio available, so search up your nearest one online and book a class with your girlies.

Fun tip: Many puppy yoga studios do at home sessions which means you can even book a session in your own backyard or living room with your friends and make a little party out of it.

Who Says You Can’t Be a Little Extra? Go On a Road Trip!!

You don’t have to wait for a s/o to do something a little adventurous. Chances are you have a beautiful city, town or resort a few hours drive from you, why not make a visit via a fun little road trip with your besties?

You can make a day trip out of it, or go all out and book a fun resort for a weekend staycation. Either way you’ll have a blast.

Pack up some snacks and refreshing drinks, maybe pick up some iced lattes and provisions on the way, play your favorite music with the windows down, scream the lyrics at the top of your lungs and enjoy the immaculate vibes.

Single, Stunning and Celebrating

I’ve come to realize that we don’t need to sit around and wait to have a significant other to do something fun and romantic – there’s no reason we can’t create fun memories with our friends instead. So this year, we ditch the same old routine and make a truly memorable Galentine’s Weekend.

Happy Galentine’s !

Love, Hash
